Pets are Popping Up at the RS POP-UP ADOPTION Shop. This November, for the first time ever, the RS POP-UP Shop will feature cats and dogs for adoption AND pet products and accessories that can improve your pet’s health and contentment.
Every Wednesday this month, the Mayor’s Alliance adoption van will be outside the RS Pop Shop from 5-8PM with cute, lovable pets for adoption. The evening was highlighted by Stephanie Mattera, Spokesperson for the Mayors Alliance for NYC’s Animals, cutting the ribbon to this adoption van full of adorable animals. These adoptable pets are brought to you in conjunction with Dog Habitat Rescue, KittyKind, Metropolitan Maltese Rescue, Picasso Veterinary Fund® of the Mayor’s Alliance, Posh Pets Rescue, Sean Casey Animal Rescue, and others. There are a wide variety of pet products this month in the RS Pop Shop, which include Stella & Chewy’s, Sturdi Products, DuckyWorldYeowww!®, Sam & Tasha, and Metro Paws.
Along with all the pets and pet products, the evening featured complimentary wine, Twisted Lemonade, and Pop Chips. There were so many cute dogs being held by attendees, which made this event so much fun! Honestly, it was like walking into a Pet Lover’s paradise, as products ranged from Flexible Height travel carriers made by Sturdi Products and raw, freeze dried treats from Stella & Chewy’s to Sam & Tasha’s pet fashions with children’s wear aesthetic, fashionable Poopy Packs™ from Metro Paws and Yeowww!® 100% filled with organically grown catnip toys from DuckyWorld.
The best part of this is that 10% of all the proceeds from the pet products sold in the shop will benefit the Mayor’s Alliance and participating rescue groups (listed above). The event kicked off shop hours of 10:00 am – 7:00 pm, seven days a week. Pet adoption is available at the store from Noon – 6:00 pm weekdays, and Noon – 5:00 pm on weekends.
Future events will feature a chance to meet fashion illustrator Jennifer Lilya on November 9th or November 30th, as she will be sketching people and pets for donations to raise money for our pet shelters.
